Hammer Crew

As the colder weather settles in, our Hammer Days continue at Seven Mountains Scout Camp! Some projects will depend on the weather, so please dress appropriately for working outdoors.

Potential Projects

Here are a few projects we may tackle this week:

• Finish the Three-Season Shower House: We’re getting close to finishing the shower house, with metal panels and trim remaining. The materials are on-site, but cold morning temperatures may delay this work until later in the day.
• Move and Stack Firewood: Following Saturday’s service day, we have firewood that needs to be moved into the storage room next to the shop. We’ll use the skid loader to bring the wood to the shop and then move it inside to keep the wood furnace supplied.
• Organize the Storage Building: Help sort and organize plumbing, electrical, and other materials in the large storage building.
• Other Projects: We’ll stay flexible in case additional projects come up.

Workday Details

• Meet: Around 8:30 AM in the dining hall
• Lunch: Bring your own lunch and water
• Wrap-up: Approximately 3:00 PM

We’ll decide which projects to tackle based on the weather and the number of volunteers who join us that day.
