Rimmey Lodge
About the Cabin
Rimmey Lodge was named after Joseph Rimmey who was tragically killed in an accident. The cabin was dedicated in 1983 and construction began a few years prior to the dedication. The money to build the cabin was raised through practical shares purchased by members on the Council. Rimmey Lodge is a true sign of the dedication that the Lodge has of its commitment to Seven Mountains Scout Camp and the campers who attend it every year.
2008 marked the 25th Anniversary of Rimmey Lodge. In thefall, a group of volunteers installed the bricks around the flag pole area in front of cabin and also made general landscaping upgrades and interior renovations to the cabin. A total of 86 bricks were placed in the walkway. At the Woodchuck Ordeal on October 18, Monaken Lodge rededicated the cabin.
To this day, continued renovations and updates are made to Rimmey Lodge to ensure that the cabin is preserved for future use by Scouters and guests who stay there.
